BROWN GIRLS in the Classroom

BROWN GIRLS has been taught to high school, undergraduate, and graduate students, as well as in writing workshops across the U.S., including: Columbia University, the University of Southern California, The City University of New York, The School of the New York Times, Catapult, Grub Street, and more. It has been selected as a text in classes led by authors Nicole Dennis-Benn, Sequoia Nagamatsu, Frances Cha, Joss Lake, and other writers and scholars. In 2022, Brown Girls was chosen as CUNY Baruch College’s First-Year text for incoming students.
